What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Business Banking Platform Delivery & Adoption, the Senior Product Owner will be a key leader within the Ascend (BBPT) Business Banking Transformation Project at CIBC. You will design and oversee workflow orchestrations needed across the transformation pillars, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is essential for helping to define product requirements, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to the overall success of the project.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Product Support - Champion the product vision for the project, aligning with business objectives and regulatory standards. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to gather, prioritize, and refine requirements for migration and enhancement.
Product Delivery - Manage the end-to-end delivery of project features, ensuring timely release and high-quality standards. Work closely with development teams to maintain a well-defined and prioritized backlog, optimizing delivery efficiency.
Workflow Orchestration - Design and implement workflows for processes impacted by the transformation, aligning both customer and employee experiences.
Stakeholder Engagement - Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners to ensure needs are understood and addressed throughout the migration and transformation process.
Market & Regulatory Research - Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting the banking sector specifically regarding any change to Business Banking regulations.
Performance Tracking - Define and monitor KPIs to measure product success, utilizing feedback and data to adjust the roadmap and maximize impact.
Documentation & Reporting - Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and migration plans. Provide regular updates to colleagues and leadership on project progress and opportunities.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience of more than 5 years in Product Owner/Management or related experience. It’s an asset if you have experience in product management tools e.g., JIRA, Confluence.
You have banking sector experience of more than 5 years. It’s an asset if you have client facing Business- or Commercial Banking experience.
