About the Team & Position

As a Senior Product Manager on the Sell to Carvana team, you will help shape the end-to-end digital experience that enables customers to seamlessly sell or trade in their vehicles. You’ll own high-impact parts of the customer journey that directly drive vehicle acquisition and support company growth.

Selling a car is often complicated, time-consuming, and uncertain. Our team has built a simple, fast, and transparent alternative, powered by self-service tools, intelligent workflows, and no-pressure support. As a key member of the product team, you’ll be responsible for evolving this experience at scale, delivering great customer experiences and strong business outcomes.

We’re an AI-first team, using machine learning and LLMs to determine VIN-specific prices, provide personalized support at scale, and continuously improve team performance. This role is ideal for a builder who is excited about the full breadth of product development, including understanding customer behavior, diving deep into product analytics, sweating design details, and helping evaluate different technical approaches.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive the product roadmap and lead end-to-end product development informed by customer research, analytics, and business needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally to define impactful customer targeting strategies, identify optimization opportunities, and size and prioritize high-impact initiatives.
  • Lead experiments and measurement, actively interpreting results and translating insights into continuous product improvements.
  • Take day-to-day ownership and responsibility for executing key product initiatives.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methods to identify consumers’ frustrations and unmet needs, and creatively identify product development opportunities.
  • Own initiatives in shaping, scoping, and requirements drafting to enable effective engineering execution.
  • Write clear project briefs and detailed requirements to effectively communicate with the team and align all stakeholders around a common understanding of “what” and “why.”
  • Creatively explore ways to speed up time-to-value, reduce risk, and increase the pace of learning through prototyping, pilot testing, and other forms of validation.
  • Bring a flexible, entrepreneurial, “whatever it takes” attitude to creating impact

What you should have

  • A bachelor’s degree in STEM, Economics/Finance, or Design/UX, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of work experience, ideally in product, product analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Outcome-oriented and data-driven decision making, backed by expertise in metrics, analytics, and tools such as SQL, Tableau, Looker, or Sigma.
  • An AI-first approach to product work, with hands-on experience using AI tools for self-serve research, analysis, prototyping, synthesis, and day-to-day productivity.
  • Ability to learn and absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to non-technical audiences.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to ask questions and solve complex problems with data.
  • Deep product experience at one or more highly successful (and ideally hypergrowth) companies.
  • Familiarity with a variety of products in consumer web and mobile applications, and have developed a product sense for what works and why in different scenarios.
  • Experience with experiment design and interpretation.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get it done, no matter what it is, for the sake of the team and our customers.
  • Sense of humor, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What we’ll offer in return

  • Full-Time position with a competitive salary and Carvana stock compensation.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.
  • 401K with company match.
  • A multitude of perks, including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more.
  • A great wellness program to keep you healthy and happy, both physically and mentally.
  • Access to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization.
  • A company culture focused on high performance and bar-raising, with vast opportunities to learn and grow.
