DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly experienced, data-driven, and technically proficient Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution for our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) platform and its related patient-facing experiences. This critical role sits at the intersection of complex healthcare finance, insurance workflows, and intuitive patient design. You will be responsible for transforming the often-confusing journey of insurance and billing into a simple, transparent, and approachable experience for our patients, while optimizing revenue capture and efficiency for our business by rigorously analyzing performance data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Platform Strategy & Execution
• Own the RCM product roadmap and strategy end-to-end, focusing on core workflows, optimization, and system integration.
• Deeply understand and optimize insurance workflows, including:
- Insurance Capture & Validation: Ensuring accurate and efficient collection of patient insurance details.
- Eligibility & Benefits Verification: Streamlining real-time or batch verification processes.
- Internal Credentialing Management: Designing and optimizing internal systems for tracking provider network participation and credentialing.
• Drive strategy for billing and payment solutions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and patient-friendly payment options.
• Bonus experience: Leverage experience with platforms like Stripe (or similar payment processors) to build scalable, secure, and modern payment infrastructure.
Data-Driven Optimization & Minimize Collections Friction
• Be a highly data-driven decision-maker, constantly measuring key RCM metrics (e.g., net collection rate, days in A/R, % of appointments with eligibility issues, denials rates, etc.).
• Utilize analytics tools daily (e.g., Amplitude, Looker, or similar BI platforms) to monitor funnel performance and identify friction points. You should be comfortable getting your hands dirty with transactional data, troubleshooting anomalies, and validating hypotheses about where and why we have collections friction (e.g., payment failure points, confusing patient communications, or eligibility errors).
Patient Experience Transformation
• Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering to translate complex insurance and financial workflows into simple, empathetic, and intuitive patient interfaces (web, mobile, messaging, etc.)
• Translate complex, business-logic-heavy insurance journeys and financial terminology into clear, understandable patient communications and interfaces.
• Conduct user research and A/B testing to minimize friction and improve patient satisfaction.
Technical Acumen & Integration
• Serve as the product expert for business-logic-heavy applications and integrations. This includes working closely with engineering teams on API design, data models, and complex state management within RCM systems.
• Drive integration strategy with our EHR, clearinghouses, payers, and third-party financial services.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail and product quality, including defining rigorous acceptance criteria and actively engaging in acceptance testing to ensure zero-defect deployments for compliance and financial accuracy.
Prioritization & Stakeholder Management
• Masterfully manage a diverse set of stakeholders, including RCM, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Operations, and Clinical teams.
• Clearly articulate the value, cost, and risk of potential features and initiatives, influencing decisions and gaining buy-in for the long-term vision.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years focused on Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), healthcare finance, or complex healthcare platforms.
• Deep, demonstrable expertise in full-cycle RCM workflows: insurance capture, eligibility verification, coding, claims routing/submission, patient billing, payments/collections, denials management, etc.
• Proven high proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Looker, Tableau, etc.) and demonstrated ability to use data to drive product decisions. Familiarity with SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, and ad-hoc reporting a plus.
• Strong technical acumen and comfort working directly with engineering teams on business logic, APIs/webhooks, and data structures.
• Proven ability to deliver patient-facing (or customer-facing) web and/or mobile applications that simplify complex workflows.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare compliance regulations related to financial data, patient communications, etc.
• Nice to have: Ability to drive AI product strategy
