CommBank’s Financial Crime Operations (FCO) Strategy and Performance (S&P) team is looking for a Senior Manager to join our FCO Strategic Initiatives and Governance portfolio, responsible for the effective and efficient governance and design and delivery of strategic initiatives across Financial Crime Operations. Financial Crime Operations (FCO) is a team of 2000+ Operations Professionals and leads the Group’s approach to managing Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) and Sanctions risks and obligations through the provision of operational services across the Customer Lifecycle. The Scope of work includes Onboarding and KYC, Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD), Ongoing Due Diligence including Transaction Monitoring (TM), Customer and Payment Screening and periodic KYC Refresh. 

The Strategy & Performance (S&P) function is an enablement function supporting Financial Crime Operations to meet the performance and quality objectives set by the Group.  S&P work in partnership with the FCO operational teams to set the strategic direction, define performance targets and operating model as well as provide core enablement functions including; governance, workforce optimisation, performance insights, strategic initiatives, change management, capability, communications, etc.
 

Your role

As the FCS Knowledge Lead (Senior Product Manager), you will form part of the Strategic Initiative and Governance leadership team. You will define and lead the vision and design and delivery of the roadmap for the Knowledge Reimagined product, a scalable, integrated product that delivers Knowledge as an asset.

You will lead a team responsible for identifying and embedding customer insights into knowledge artefact development, partnering with Financial Crime Domain delivery crew and Operations teams, and leveraging AI and automation to streamline knowledge creation, application and delivery.  A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of knowledge management, user-centred design, AI and technology enablers you will have experience in building and delivering product at scale leveraging strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Your responsibilities

• Define and lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Knowledge Reimagined product, aligning with business and customer outcomes.
• Oversee end-to-end design and delivery of the product for Financial Crime Operations, ensuring scalability and integration across teams.
• Champion knowledge as an asset, enabling improved productivity, quality, and analyst capability through innovative product solutions.
• Translate customer insights, breakpoints, and feedback into compelling propositions and prioritised product requirements.
• Lead product enhancements using customer-centred design thinking and agile methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Influence product decisions through performance insights, including financial, operational, and customer experience metrics.
• Manage product governance, risk engagement, and compliance with internal frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Drive change management and adoption initiatives, uplifting internal communications, training, and stakeholder engagement.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, capability development, and a strong delivery culture.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships across frontline, technology, risk, and operations, acting as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor.

Your experience

• Proven experience in a senior knowledge management or delivery role within a large, complex operational environment
• Strong expertise in content strategy, document management, and communications
• Experience driving technology and AI-enabled change to transform knowledge creation, management, and delivery at scale
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage knowledge as a asset—designing, delivering, and continuously improving knowledge solutions that meet user needs
• Experience with knowledge management systems, tools, and taxonomy design
• Skilled in embedding customer insights into knowledge development to drive relevance, usability, and impact
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution and delivery
• Familiarity with UX principles, digital experience design, and human-centred approaches to learning and capability building
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to content quality, consistency, and accessibility
• Passion for building capability through knowledge enablement and supporting continuous learning across teams
