Job Description:
At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.About the Role:
The Senior Product Manager, Home & Explore (HEX) will report to the Sr. Manager of Product, Global Transfer Experience. You will own Remitly’s most visited real estate: the Home screen, the global navigation, and the Explore tab. Your charter is to evolve Home into the front door to growth, so it delivers value every time a customer opens the app, whether they are mid-journey, returning to send again, exploring price, or rediscovering us.
Your vision is a relevant, engaging Home experience that guides each customer to their most valuable next action. You will operate at the intersection of customer experience and the underlying personalization and segmentation infrastructure. Home must serve a wide spectrum of customers (newly acquired, power-users, shoppers, and dormant) across all geographies and a growing portfolio of Remitly’s products.
We expect our product leaders to be AI-fluent. AI-powered tooling is changing how the best PMs work and how the best products get built. You will use these tools to accelerate discovery and execution, and identify where you can embed AI and ML capabilities into the customer experience.
This role will be hybrid from our Burnaby, BC office and report into the Group Product Manager for the team.
Define the product strategy, roadmap, and prioritisation for Remitly’s Home screen, global navigation, and Explore tab across new, active, multi-product, and dormant customer journeys.
Be a customer advocate, translating qualitative research, usability studies, and quantitative signals (including through AI-assisted synthesis tools) into product decisions that reduce friction and improve first-attempt success rates
Lead the personalization strategy for Home: partner with engineering and data science to ship ML-driven module ranking, lifecycle marketing campaigns, one-click repeat transfers, and personalized shortcuts that evolve beyond Quick Send for customers who do more than send with Remitly.
Lead the evolution of Remitly’s information architecture, including the Home, Wallet, Benefits, Explore, and Activity surfaces, ensuring each has a clear job to be done and clean ownership boundaries with adjacent product teams.
Own the product strategy for new and dormant customer reactivation, including the “What’s New” catalog and other Announcements patterns, partnering with growth, lifecycle marketing, and CRM to convert app opens into transactions and win lapsed customers back.
Drive the HEX operating model and governance program for Home: set the standards and guardrails (motion, loading, latency, tone, accessibility, merchandising) that feature squads contributing to Home must follow, and run the rituals that keep the experience cohesive without slowing partner squads down.
Partner with engineering, design, analytics, and risk to ship experiences that are accurate, performant, and globally compliant across a diverse range of corridors, products, and regulatory environments.
Design A/B experiments, summarise results, and deliver actionable recommendations to the team and senior leaders, including landing the updated Home framework across multiple customer segments.
Partner with engineering and data science to prototype, evaluate, and ship AI- and ML-powered capabilities including personalized ranking, Next Best Actions, and contextual merchandising. Define clear success metrics and guardrails for responsible deployment.
Use AI tools in your own product management workflow, from summarising qualitative research signals at scale, to drafting and iterating on product specs, to prototyping and validating concepts
7+ years of product management experience delivering measurable outcomes on consumer-facing products at scale.
5+ years building consumer-facing mobile or web products, ideally with significant experience on Home, browse, feed, merchandising, or other high-traffic personalization surfaces where many partner teams contribute content.
Experience with ML-driven personalization, ranking systems, recommendations, or Next Best Action frameworks, and the ability to translate model performance into customer experience decisions.
Proficient in designing experiments, interpreting funnel data, and making data-driven prioritisation decisions, especially in environments where many teams are running concurrent tests on shared surfaces.
Experience working across information architecture, global navigation, and cross-product surfaces in a multi-product app is a plus.
Experience building and scaling personalization frameworks and segmentation systems that handle diverse customer needs (new, active, multi-product, dormant) without requiring custom engineering work for each case.
Experience setting standards, guardrails, and governance operating models that keep a shared surface cohesive while preserving the autonomy and speed of partner squads.
Experience motivating and aligning teams (engineering, UX, analytics, growth, lifecycle marketing, and partner product squads) and navigating tough technical and design tradeoffs with care.
Experience setting product strategy and leading teams using Agile and lean methodologies.
Experience working in regulated environments, understanding compliance and risk constraints, and finding creative paths that serve both the customer and the business.
Demonstrated fluency with AI as a daily PM tool. You use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate your work and you can critically evaluate new AI capabilities as they emerge.
A hands-on orientation toward AI and ML as product features. You can identify where they unlock step-change improvements in personalization and Home experiences, prototype concepts using LLM APIs or modern tooling (including with tools like Claude and VS Code, as our team has done), evaluate quality and failure modes, and define the guardrails needed to ship AI-powered features responsibly at scale. This is possible even when the core product is not AI-native.
