Job Summary

This role is open to Houston, TX and Palo Alto, California in addition to Austin, Texas.


As a Product Manager, within the voice communications products team, you will manage the delivery and sustaining efforts of HP/Poly's award-winning SW product offerings, that integrate hardware and software for real-time voice communications used in business environments.  This role is responsible for executing the SW product roadmap and maintenance of that roadmap throughout the product lifecycle of our desktop voice products. Candidate will work closely with and align with the overall product management team to understand future roadmaps, delivery needs and sustaining efforts at both the HW and SW levels to successfully execute in their role. You will apply your unique mastery of product management skills, and relevant subject matter knowledge to a portfolio of highly technical products and ensure a successful life cycle, from definition to end of sale. You will work closely with multi-disciplined teams to deliver software solutions that delight customers and meet business goals. This role plans and manages all delivery aspects of SW enabled experiences and effectively steering the teams to meet specific roadmaps, product objectives and ultimately sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the desktop SW Delivery roadmap through the product development cycle, ensuring quality, delivery and optimization at every step.

  • Adept at collecting and analyzing input from multiple sources (customers, sales, engineering, marketing, competitor, and management) and can prioritize those for decision making/roadmap planning.

  • Collaborates closely with engineering, alliances, product management, and other relevant teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of high-quality software solutions on time, within scope and hitting delivery quality standards.

  • Strategically partners with key stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.

  • Translates complex market and stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions.

  • Translates customer feedback and assesses the external environment to identify potential changes that could enhance a differentiated product roadmap.

  • Provides thought leadership to stakeholders to guide feature development and prioritization.

  • Translates user requirements into executable and workable feature items for planning product management to scope with software engineering team/s.

  • Provides guidance for junior team members on product management strategies.

  • Tracks and reports key metrics and quality trends to drive future product developments.

  • Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.



Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 5-7 years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner Certification, or any other related certifications.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

The pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
