Senior Product Designer, Storefront, Retention & Growth

New York, NY; San Francisco, CA Full Time

About the team

Storefront is DoorDash’s white-label digital ordering platform within our Commerce suite, empowering merchants to own their online presence and grow their first-party sales. We harness the scale, logistics, and technology of the DoorDash marketplace to help businesses launch custom branded websites and mobile apps that drive loyalty and long-term growth.

Our mission is to revolutionize the future of ecommerce for local businesses. We’re building the best way for any restaurant to run their online business, from beautifully customized apps and websites to powerful tools that help them acquire, retain, and re-engage customers. Storefront gives merchants the independence of owning their brand, with the strength of DoorDash behind it.

This is a high-impact space at the intersection of consumer experience, merchant tooling, growth, and AI-driven innovation.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead high-impact initiatives across Storefront’s merchant and consumer experiences. This is a senior IC role for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, shaping thoughtful solutions that drive meaningful outcomes. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Research to define strategy, explore opportunities, and deliver end-to-end experiences across our platform. While contributing to experimentation and optimization efforts where appropriate, you’ll also help raise the quality bar for craft, systems thinking, and customer-centric design across the team.

You will report to the Sr. Manager of Product Design for Storefront within DoorDash’s Commerce organization. This role follows a hybrid model, working from one of our offices 1–2 days per week.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Own and drive meaningful product initiatives end-to-end, from early exploration through shipped impact
  • Help define strategy and vision in evolving, sometimes ambiguous problem spaces
  • Collaborate deeply with Product, Engineering, Data, and Research to turn opportunities into thoughtful, high-quality experiences
  • Contribute to experimentation and continuous improvement efforts that support product quality and sustainable merchant growth
  • Design across surfaces and systems, shaping experiences that support merchants and the customers they serve
  • Influence how the team works, raising the bar for clarity, speed, and design excellence

We're excited about you because…

  • You have 5+ years of experience designing and shipping impactful digital products as a senior IC
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and can independently frame problems, generate direction, and drive execution
  • You balance strong systems thinking with exceptional interaction and visual craft
  • You’re fluent in experimentation and iterative product development, and understand how design drives business outcomes
  • You’re curious about emerging technologies, including AI, and thoughtful about how they can improve both product experiences and design workflows
  • You’re a strong communicator who can articulate strategy, rationale, and trade-offs across cross-functional partners
