Job Description

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll lead the design of complex product features

and workflows, driving user-centered solutions across our automotive offerings.

You’ll impact the end-to-end design process—from discovery and research to

prototyping and delivery—while mentoring junior designers and influencing

product strategy.

You’ll be a key voice in shaping the user experience, advocating for design

excellence, and ensuring consistency across platforms. This role requires strong

collaboration, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to deliver impactful design

outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead design initiatives for a product, translating business goals and user needs into innovative, user-centered solutions across desktop and mobile platforms.

  • Evolve UX strategy in partnership with product and engineering leads, influencing roadmap decisions through design thinking and user insights.

  • Conduct user research activities in coordination with UX researchers—including field studies, user testing, and data synthesis—to uncover deep behavioral patterns and inform design decisions.

  • Create and refine UX deliverables such as user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, prototypes (low/high fidelity), and information architecture, ensuring alignment with business and user goals.

  • Drive the evolution of the design system by identifying gaps, proposing new components and patterns, and ensuring scalable, consistent design across products.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, content strategists, and other stakeholders to align on vision, constraints, and implementation strategies.

  • Facilitate design workshops, critiques, and sprints to foster collaboration, accelerate decision-making, and promote a shared understanding of design goals.

  • Present and advocate for design decisions in stakeholder reviews, clearly articulating rationale, user impact, and business value.

  • Mentor and support junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and design excellence.

  • Lead usability testing and behavioral analytics reviews to validate design performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Ensure high-quality implementation by maintaining detailed design specifications, partnering closely with developers, and participating in user acceptance testing.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve design processes, tools, and team rituals to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and impact.

  • Stay ahead of UX trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, and actively contribute to the evolution of team capabilities and design culture.

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, estimating effort, planning schedules, and delivering on time within agile workflows.

  • Use general-purpose LLM tools to analyze and synthesize user behavior, identify patterns, and prioritize opportunities.

  • Use AI to accelerate discovery, experimentation, development, and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related field and 4 years of experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing strategic thinking and complex problem-solving.

    • The right candidate could also have an equivalent combination of education and experience (Master’s and 2+ years’ experience | PHD and 1 year) OR 8 years of experience

  • Experience conducting user research and applying insights to inform product design strategy.

  • Deep understanding of information architecture, interaction design and usability heuristics.

  • Experience contributing to and evolving design systems at scale.

  • Experience using facilitation skills in leading design critiques, workshops, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Ability to mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback.

  • Demonstrated impact on product outcomes through design leadership and collaboration.

  • Familiarity with text-to-prototype tools

  • Ability to partner with product teams and leverage tools for rapid prototyping for the purposes of research, discovery, and experimentation

  • Experience creating AI products or strong knowledge of AI and agentic design practices, such as model limitations, guardrails, evals, and feedback loops
