Come join our UX Team as a Senior Product Designer within our Supply Group! You’ll help shape the tools and experiences that empower our diverse network of over 35,000 suppliers - from small independent creators to large organizations. The Supply Group consists of several mission-driven product teams, focusing on building intuitive, scalable B2B solutions that help our suppliers succeed and grow in order to offer exceptional experiences for our travelers.
Our UX Team is a multi-disciplinary team of Product Designers, Content Designers, and UX Researchers that are passionate about solving customer problems in an effective and delightful way. We combine empathy, our craft, and creativity to create valuable, usable, and delightful product experiences. Our work is guided by strong principles that make our experience focus on value and feel simple, trustworthy, human, and unique. We collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data to ensure those principles are front and center in the features we develop.
Your mission
- Solve exciting complex design and product challenges by designing user-friendly experiences for our suppliers.
- Design and iterate on high-quality deliverables across all of our Supplier products.
- Explore ambiguous design challenges with a variety of approaches and methodologies in order to help your team orient in the problem spaces.
- Leverage both qualitative and quantitative insights in making day-to-day design and product decisions.
- Work with UX researchers to plan strategic research initiatives and test your own designs.
- Support systems thinking across the broader design team and drive alignment with the design language.
- Work closely with Content Design to structure and iterate upon your designs.
- You will develop a strong, user-centered point of view on your product area, advocate for user needs and your vision in a collaborative way.
- Mentor other designers; give constructive feedback to strengthen your peers’ decision making skills and quality of work.
- Design, discuss, and document emerging design patterns. Look horizontally across product areas and find opportunities to drive alignment and understanding.
- Collaborate with your stakeholders to facilitate alignment, create shared understanding, and communicate your design rationale.
- You’ll be a thought partner to your Product Manager, building the product strategy and roadmap together.
- Foster collaboration among brand and product designers, engineering, and product teams to realize a supplier experience that is cohesive, and aligned with our end-to-end product.
- Work to establish and socialize a robust foundation of design principles around inclusivity, usability, and aesthetic
- Support the evolution of the Supply Group design language and the delivery of essential libraries and frameworks (including a design system, and supporting designers and engineers in creating new user experiences.
Your toolkit
- 6+ years experience of end-to-end product design, with past experience designing for B2B platforms.
- Significant experience and passion for constructing design languages and systems. Extensive knowledge of constructing accessible user interfaces and delivering componentized UI frameworks.
- A problem-solving mindset, focusing on outcomes and not output, and applying user feedback or a/b testing tools to validate hypotheses.
- Proven track-record in leading medium design projects that demonstrate a user-centered approach and high-quality deliverables.
- Examples that demonstrate an understanding of and ability to contribute to visual design, including branding, composition, and UI components.
- Demonstrable ability to bring ideas to life through prototyping through simple click-thru mock-ups.
- Ability to present design concepts and final designs, articulate the decision rationale behind them, and build a product vision.
- Proactive and comfortable with working autonomously.
- Experience working closely within cross-disciplinary product teams, including Product Managers and Engineers. A history of strong communication and collaboration with other functional roles is essential.
- An understanding of how UX impacts business objectives and KPIs.
