*This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ in Carlsbad, CA. In office expectations is 4 days a week.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Sr. Design Operations Specialist at prAna, you will play a crucial role in streamlining and optimizing our design processes to ensure the seamless execution of our apparel collections. You will work closely with our design, production, and merchandising teams to coordinate and manage the workflow from initial concept through to final production. Your responsibilities will include managing design schedules, facilitating communication between cross-functional teams, and implementing operational efficiencies. This role requires a blend of creative understanding and operational expertise, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and timely delivery of our products, helping to drive the success of our brand.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Collaborate with the Creative Design Director on the product creation execution strategy.
Oversee Creative Services calendars, work with Creative Design Director and cross functional leads to ensure all projects and deliverables are on time and meet requirements. Includes print/pattern, graphic, plaid pitch, and color lap dip processes and bulk approvals, special projects which include late adds, SMU’s, and collabs.
Collaborate with cross-functional execution teams (Materials/ PD/ TD) to ensure projects and seasonal flow are effective and on-time.
Partner with the Creative Design Director and PCT leadership to establish Design-related standards; and champion, disseminate and uphold the implementation of standards to relevant stakeholders.
Review output, trouble shoot, and provide feedback to Creative Services and Design teams to capture efficiencies and future improvement.
Represent Design in the onboarding of new systems and facilitate required training.
Provide Design and Creative Services teams with short term/long term milestone calendar views, provide continuous status to cross-functional leadership teams.
Recommend process improvements as needed seasonally within Design & Creative Services team

YOU HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in Design or Apparel Product Development required
5+ years of experience in apparel industry
Knowledge of color theory, color models RGB, CMYK and Pantone matching systems
Extensive knowledge of apparel construction and fit protocol
Comprehensive understanding of woven and knit garment and fabric construction, synthetic, natural, performance and sustainable fibers
Proficient in Office Suites, Adobe Creative Suites, SharePoint and other CAD/Textile programs such as Generation Digital, Airtable, and PLM systems
Outdoor, Yoga or other athletic apparel industry experience a plus
