How you’ll make an impact

Do you have a background in accounting or finance and a passion for technology? Join our Agile development team, who builds industry-leading technologies that help Canadian farmers digitize their farm records and simplify their accounting processes.

You’ll use your knowledge of accounting principles and tax legislation to mentor team members and collaborate with business partners – simplifying business requirements, supporting informed decision-making, addressing complex challenges and ensuring our technical solutions deliver an exceptional customer experience.

In this role, you’ll bring a solution-focused mindset and apply strong analytical and facilitation skills to manage multiple priorities with confidence. Your intellectual curiosity will fuel continuous learning and innovation, helping you push boundaries to deliver impactful solutions.

What you'll do

  • Analyze and refine product backlog items, preparing clear user stories and requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to translate business needs into effective solutions
  • Investigate and resolve incidents while proactively identifying issues and implementing solutions
  • Drive backlog prioritization, process automation and ensure high-quality product increments are delivered on schedule
  • Facilitate problem-solving and solution negotiations, fostering alignment and continuous improvement
  •  Incorporate new tax and accounting regulations into AgExpert products

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, accounting, finance or computer science
  • Minimum four years of experience in the technology industry
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles and best practices, ideally within agriculture
  • Experience communicating technical information in clear, simple language to a variety of audiences
  • Experience leading scrum events and facilitating refinement discussions
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder alignment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in optimizing design for impactful business analytics
  • CPA designation
  • Familiarity with tax legislation and payroll regulations
  • Ability to coach and mentor others on accounting principles to improve product functionality and team capability
  • Ability to assume intellectual ownership to drive solutions forward
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, supporting effective software development and project delivery
  • Professional Scrum Master certification
