The Opportunity

As a Senior Procurement Professional, you'll drive cost‑effective sourcing, optimize MRP performance, and ensure the availability of critical materials used in our high‑voltage equipment. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams, strengthen supplier relationships, and contribute directly to operational excellence and long‑term supply chain stability. This is a chance to influence key decisions, innovate through data‑driven insights, and help advance Hitachi Energy’s mission of delivering safe, reliable, and efficient energy solutions.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute material planning strategies using SAP or similar MRP tools.

  • Forecast supply needs and align procurement plans with production teams.

  • Build and maintain productive, long‑term supplier partnerships.

  • Negotiate pricing and terms leveraging data insights for optimal outcomes.

  • Identify supply chain risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Partner with engineering, quality, and production on material specifications.

  • Drive cost‑reduction initiatives without compromising delivery or quality.

  • Support quality assurance processes and maintain accurate SAP‑based compliance data.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Business, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience as a buyer within high‑voltage equipment or related industries.

  • Strong proficiency with SAP or comparable MRP systems.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities.

  • Strength in problem‑solving and collaboration across teams.
