Position Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed spend analysis, market research, and total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations for C-17 peculiar parts, engine components (F117 propulsion), consumables, support equipment, and repair/overhaul services to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier consolidation, and alternative sourcing strategies aligned with USAF and FMS requirements.
Analyze supplier performance data (delivery timeliness, quality, compliance, DMSMS exposure) using integrated tools and dashboards; develop supplier scorecards and risk assessments to inform strategic sourcing decisions and PBL incentive metrics.
Lead supplier onboarding and technical integration initiatives for C-17 supply chain partners, including EDI/API connections, electronic catalogs (Punchout/CIF), supplier portals, automated invoicing, and real-time visibility feeds into Boeing/DoD systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, or equivalent PBL platforms).
Collaborate on DMSMS and obsolescence management: identify at-risk components, coordinate with suppliers on mitigation plans, and integrate predictive analytics (e.g., from C-17 Data Analytics Service/DAS) to forecast demand and prioritize procurement/integration actions.
Prepare data-backed recommendations for contract negotiations, RFQs/RFPs, and sole-source justifications; support post-award monitoring to ensure supplier adherence to C-17 sustainment contract terms, including classified component handling and purge requirements.
Drive process automation and data synchronization between internal teams (procurement, sustaining engineering, field services, logistics) and external suppliers to reduce manual errors, shorten cycle times, and improve parts availability for depot-level maintenance, heavy maintenance, and contractor field team (CFT) support.
Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as integration adoption rates, invoice accuracy, on-time delivery improvements, NMC hour reductions, and cost savings; contribute to continuous improvement feedback loops that enhance PBL contract performance and fleet optimization.
Ensure full compliance with DoD/FMS regulations, ITAR, DFARS, Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR), and security protocols for classified aircraft data and components.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in SAP S4 HANA Sourcing and Procurement including the following: requirement processing, purchase order processing, service purchasing, procurement analytics, purchase order collaboration, source assignment, operational contract management, invoice processing, accounts payable, invoice collaboration, release strategy, workflow approval process, classification and integrations with project systems, inventory management, quality management and other cross applications
3+ years of experience leading environmental sustainability related programs with a focus on operations, including development of strategies, goals and implementation plans
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in procurement analysis, supplier management, or supply chain integration — preferably in aerospace/defense sustainment programs
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced), BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), and procurement/ERP systems (SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or similar)
Experience with defense procurement processes, PBL contracts, DMSMS management, and/or military aviation sustainment (C-17 experience highly desired)
