Position Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to GSK’s mission of delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently. As a Senior Process Operator, you will operate, monitor, and maintain equipment to ensure smooth production processes. You’ll collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead day-to-day coordination of line processing, people allocation and shift handovers.

  • Monitor line performance and product quality, escalate issues, and lead corrective actions.

  • Lead and support quality investigations and batch documentation reviews.

  • Coach and train team members on standard work and safe practices to build capability.

  • Drive continuous improvement projects that reduce waste, increase uptime and improve efficiency.

  • Use production systems and data to spot trends, support troubleshooting and make informed decisions.

  • Operate and maintain production equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

  • Monitor equipment performance and address issues to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.

  • Perform equipment changeovers and setups to meet production specifications.

  • Maintain inspection readiness by ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.

Basic Qualification

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least some experience in a senior process or senior technical operator role.

  • Experience leading people or shifts on a production floor.

  • Experience operating, setting up and changing over production equipment.


Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus

  • Associate degree or technical certificate in a relevant field.

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical or biotech environments.

  • Experience using process improvement tools and structured problem solving.

  • Familiarity with overall equipment effectiveness and production performance metrics.

  • Strong computer skills for data capture, basic analysis and reporting.

  • Experience creating and maintaining standard work and delivering on-the-job training.

  • Experience following written procedures, batch records or standard operating procedures.

  • This role is on-site in the United States and is a first shift position.

GSK’s Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines to patients around the globe and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America.  The site is located less than 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Wendell, Knightdale, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Wake Forest.

Physical requirements and working conditions
You will regularly stand, walk, bend, and climb as part of the job. You may work near moving equipment and in temperature-controlled areas. Protective equipment will be provided. Flexibility to work overtime when needed is required.

Working arrangement and environment
This role is on-site in the United States and is a first shift position. You will work in a manufacturing environment that requires use of protective equipment. You may be asked to lift up to 40 lbs. and to stand and move throughout the shift. Occasional overtime may be required.
