Senior Process Development Engineer Automation

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Technologies: Explores, assesses and implements core and enabler technologies generating value-add for customers, and analyses processes continuously with the goal of optimization and efficiency gain in a safe and lean way, offers support for plant level initiatives and current processing challenges in the region

  • Process Development: Focuses on technology leadership in Automation, executes development projects in a practical way and provides corporate framework and global standards for new equipment, installations and engineering changes, sets standards and prepares for global roll outs, leads projects on demand

  • Technology Road mapping and Capital Expenditure Management: Acts as an active member along the "Technology Road map" on a strategic and holistic scale followed by subsequent Capital Expenditure Management, ensures availability and implementation of the latest manufacturing technologies including supplier selection and qualification

  • Knowledge transfer: Coordinates a Subject Matter Expert platform globally and fosters know-how transfer on manufacturing technologies, scouts new technologies and circulates information accordingly, proactively utilizes department synergies  

  • Piloting: Evaluates, builds and runs process development pilot lines to achieve and sustain technology leadership

Qualifications:

  • University degree in engineering (or comparable), preferably automation technology, electrical or process engineering, technical apprenticeship of benefit 

  • Several years of pertinent expertise in Automation and/or Packaging technologies and a proven track record of project leadership and management of international projects and have practical experience in an Operations environment of filter components (or comparable)

  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, Lean and structured approach as well as project management skills

  • Preferably affinity / experience in the field of robotics, programming, Industry 4.0 and AI

  • Business fluent in written and spoken English, preferably second foreign language
