Position Overview
SailPoint is seeking a pioneering and visionary Senior Principal Solution Consultant to join our elite Agentic Technologists team. As a Senior Principal Solution Consultant, you are the pre-sales visionary for SailPoint's leadership in Agentic AI and Machine Security. You will operate beyond the scope of a single deal or technology, setting the strategic direction for how global enterprises and entire industries will securely adopt and scale autonomous AI. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will be the company’s most senior field expert, responsible for incubating new market opportunities, shaping product strategy, and serving as a trusted advisor to the C-suite of our most strategic customers and partners.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Author the Industry Narrative: You will not just iterate or define the "Agentic Story"—you will originate it. You will create the foundational technical and strategic narrative that establishes SailPoint as the indispensable security fabric for the AI-powered enterprise.
Technical Strategist: Serve as the ultimate "Deal Strategist" for SailPoint’s most complex, global, and high-risk opportunities. You are the definitive technical authority called upon to architect solutions for challenges that have no precedent.
Incubate Future Innovation: Lead skunkworks projects and innovation initiatives that push the boundaries of identity security. You will build and validate novel concepts, creating prototypes and proofs-of-concept that demonstrate the future of AI and identity integration.
Global Mentor & Force Multiplier: Act as a mentor to the entire global Solution Consulting organization, including Principal SCs. You will be responsible for creating the advanced technical playbooks, architectural patterns, and mentorship programs that elevate the skills of the entire team.
Industry Luminary & Standard-Bearer: Represent SailPoint as a premier thought leader on the world stage. You will deliver keynote presentations at major industry events, publish influential whitepapers, and actively participate in—and influence—standards bodies to shape the future of AI safety and non-human identity.
Pioneer Ecosystem Creation: Spearhead the development of a robust technology ecosystem. You will forge and deepen strategic relationships with key technology partners (e.g., major cloud providers, AI framework developers), leading the creation of high-impact integrations and joint go-to-market solutions.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Preeminent Authority in Agentic AI: World-class, hands-on mastery of Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.). You must be capable of architecting and building novel, multi-agent autonomous systems that solve complex, real-world business problems.
Visionary Identity Architecture: A forward-looking mastery of IGA/IAM principles. Your expertise must extend to defining the next generation of identity for Non-Human Identities (NHI), Workload Identity (SPIFFE/SPIRE), and designing zero-trust, just-in-time (JIT) access models for autonomous agents.
Executive-Level Cloud Strategist: Architect-level mastery of platforms like AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and Azure AI. You should be able to command the respect of and provide strategic guidance to the C-suite and lead architects of these platforms.
Expert Builder & Innovator: Expert-level proficiency in Python is required, with strong capabilities in Java or JavaScript. You must be comfortable leading the rapid development of sophisticated prototypes, custom integrations, and production-quality "glue code" for mission-critical POCs.
Trusted C-Suite Advisor: Unparalleled ability to operate as a peer and trusted advisor to the highest levels of executive leadership (CISO, CDO, CTO, CIO), translating deeply technical, nascent concepts into clear business strategy and financial outcomes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience: 12+ years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or a strategic technical consulting role, with a demonstrable history of leading corporate-level strategic initiatives and influencing product direction.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. A Master’s or PhD is highly preferred.
The "Innovator-Incubator" Mindset: You thrive on a blank sheet of paper and are driven by the opportunity to build what's next. You are a self-starting visionary who can incubate a technical idea on Monday and present the multi-year business strategy to the Board of Directors on Friday.
Strategic Influence: You have a proven track record of shaping corporate strategy and product roadmaps through technical leadership and influence, often without direct authority.
