Collins Aerospace’s Strategic Solutions team is looking for an exceptionally motivated Senior Principal Software Product Owner/Release Train Engineer (RTE) that is passionate about collaborating with High-Performance Teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Integrated Mission Systems. Our Senior Principal Software Product Owner/Release Train Engineer (RTE) works in an exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment enabling rapid learning to drive success. The candidate will serve as Product Owner, Control Account Manager (CAM) and RTE for our Software Team focused on the Software Systems domain Interacting with the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Team, Software Architects, Scrum Masters and Software Engineers, supporting a large program. This position will support the shaping of the future of defense systems for the armed forces.
This position is located onsite in Richardson, TX and requires US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a US Top Secret security clearance (TSSCI preferred).
What You Will Do:
You will promote a culture of predictable execution intertwined with fun and collaboration where the success of the entire program team is the number one priority. Success of one team should never come at the expense of the others.
You will serve as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for the Mission Systems Software team, leading the development and refinement of the backlog in conjunction with the software architects, Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) focal and other Product Owners to achieve the required mission functionality within the required schedule.
You will act as the Product Owner (PO) for the Software Systems team focused on requirements decomposition, Cameo modeling, software integration and software verification within a DevSecOps Pipeline in a Cloud environment.
You will work directly with the Chief Engineer, Scrum Masters, and Software Engineers performing Software Systems work for Mission Systems applications.
You will act as the Control Account Manager for the scope related to your team, ensuring flawless execution.
You will interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on an extremely large program across multiple locations.
You will have the opportunity to mentor Interns, Junior, Senior and Principal engineers.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Previous experience as a Product Owner following Agile / Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Experience with Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Experience as RTE (Release Train engineer).
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance.
Previous experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Previous experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
Experience with Requirements Management (Decomposition, Derivation).
Experience as a Software Systems engineer.
Experience with UML, SysML, MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools.
Experience with Jira.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
