Focus of the Role

As a Senior Pricing Specialist, you play an essential role in ensuring that pricing is well structured to drive profitability and pricing strategy throughout the cross-functional teams. In this role, you provide commercial pricing support to teams to help improve their pricing strategies and foster value creation. You support the development of comprehensive segment pricing constructs, ensuring they comply with regulatory and commercial frameworks and align to overall business strategy. Due to your experience and expertise you make a significant contribution to Telstra’s thought leadership and IP on commercial and product innovation and wider pricing strategy.

What You’ll Do

Telstra InfraCo - Amplitel houses Australia's wireless tower infrastructure; building, managing, and sharing access to 8,000+ towers, masts, and poles.

As Senior Pricing Specialist, you will:

  • RFT's and Annual Price Reviews: The candidate will undertake data analysis from Amplitel Systems, primarily ADAMS & PACA, to create New SoR lists/templates, prepare benchmarks and comparison files, and analyze delivery partner submissions. They will also prepare feedback files, analyze non-conforming submissions, and provide all necessary budgetary information required by Finance.
  • Business Analytics: The candidate will determine internal manhours and costs, compare internal costings versus delivery partner costings, and regularly compare existing volume and cost benchmarks against the latest data. They will also be responsible for creating reports and presentations for senior leadership and undertaking any other business analysis as directed.
  • Contractual: The candidate will assist Procurement with the preparation and/or variation of Delivery Partner Contracts (Statement of Works) and undertake technical and budgetary impacts of contract variations.
  • Estimating: The candidate will assist delivery teams with estimating and budgetary queries and the introduction of new SoR's based on delivery requirements.

About You

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Data Management Systems: Previous experience with data management systems, especially ADAMS and PACA, is advantageous.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, with expert-level experience in Excel being advantageous.
  • Operations: Previous experience in the technical aspects and delivery of structure design and/or construction is advantageous.

Education requirements:

  • Secondary: Minimum Year 12 completion is required.
  • Tertiary: A degree in Accounting, Business, or Engineering is required.
  • Telstra/Amplitel: Existing experience with Telstra/Amplitel Commercial, Procurement, or Finance is advantageous.
