As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for product life cycle management and maintaining the strength of the portfolio.
In this Michigan-based role, you will be required to travel up to 40% to both domestic and international destinations.
What you will do
Portfolio Strategy & New Product Development
Lead portfolio strategy and product lifecycle management, including new product development, launch planning, delivery cycles, and obsolescence planning.
Develop product strategies and attributes that drive desired customer behaviors such as trial, upgrade, loyalty, conversion, and consistent use.
Identify sources of growth, evaluate market opportunities, define strategic focus areas, and forecast volume potential across target segments.
Partner with supply chain and operations teams to execute lifecycle plans and understand manufacturing capabilities.
Strategic Marketing & Commercialization
Create pre-commercialization plans, support the development of commercialization plans, and provide business reviews, proposals, and recommendations.
Translate customer and stakeholder needs into differentiated value propositions, positioning, and marketing strategies.
Align marketing objectives to business goals and resource investment.
Support channel strategy development, including pricing, service models, communications, go-to-market execution and sales tool recommendations.
Customer, Market & Competitive Insights
Conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative market research to generate actionable insights.
Build and leverage KOL, customer, and industry networks to anticipate market needs and identify growth opportunities.
Monitor competitive dynamics, competitive positioning, and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
Maintain knowledge of market segments, regulatory environments, and emerging technologies.
Forecasting, Pricing & Analytics
Develop accurate forecasts of future products using market dynamics, historical trends, and demand assumptions while identifying risks and uncertainties.
Develop pricing strategies aligned to brand positioning, customer value, and market conditions; monitor pricing compliance.
Define and track key performance metrics; analyze trends and translate data into recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner across R&D, sales, finance, operations, and marketing to support NPDP processes, commercialization readiness, and business priorities.
Support evidence generation strategies by linking clinical, economic, and use evidence to stakeholder needs and value propositions.
Leadership & Professional Impact
Hold self and others accountable for delivering high-quality results with urgency, energy, and focus on business priorities.
Influence cross-functional teams and strengthen partnerships to achieve shared objectives.

What you will need
Required
Bachelor’s degree
6+ years of work experience
Experience building compelling presentations-great story telling abilities
Experience working in collaboration with other teams
Preferred
MBA
New product development experience
Experience working in the medical device experience
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Professional experience in clinical settings and operating room environments
Previous experience with orthopedics - Foot and Ankle
Partnering or collaborating with R&D and other cross-functional businesses
