Mercer is currently seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Interest to lead the management of Mercer’s Fixed Interest and Cash funds.

Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Interest


This role involves formulating proposals on manager selection and portfolio construction across Mercer’s suite of fixed income and cash funds, overseeing their ongoing performance, and working collaboratively with local and global teams to ensure the funds align with clients’ needs.

As a key member of the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team, you will be supported by a small team of fixed income investment professionals and report directly to the Head of Public Markets.

Key Responsibilities:


• Deliver alpha through manager selection and portfolio construction for Mercer’s Fixed Interest and Cash funds
• Partner with global teams to contribute to Mercer’s best-ideas global model portfolios
• Support the development and launch of new funds aligned with client needs and commercial outcomes
• Work closely with consultants and clients to understand their requirements and communicate fund strategy and performance
• Mentor and develop key investment talent within the team
• Represent Mercer at client meetings and industry events

Requirements:


• Relevant undergraduate qualification required; post-graduate qualification or professional certification preferred
• At least 8 years of relevant industry experience in portfolio management and/or manager research covering fixed interest strategies
• Experience presenting to and working with clients
• Strong technical knowledge of fixed interest markets, asset classes, investment styles, and strategies
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

• Proven track record of delivering investment performance and client satisfaction
• Experience mentoring and developing investment professionals
