Primary Accountabilities
Responsible for the review and interpretation of statutes and case law and is primary researcher of industry language necessary for the introduction of policy forms for state expansion, new products, and product enhancements.
Develops and prepares forms filings of new language for contracts, forms and endorsements by collaborating with all enterprise stakeholders.
Responsible for communicating policy contract and underwriting intent for products for key stakeholders. This includes expert testimony and/or depositions in legal cases, as needed.
Creates system generated images/forms using specialized forms development software/systems.
Create and maintain business rules and technical requirements.
Review, propose and enact legislation to determine form changes that may or will be needed to remain compliant.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other lines to identify product gaps and opportunities.
Works with key stakeholders including: state management, claims, Claims/Corporate Legal, Government Affairs, Pricing/Actuarial, Operations, etc. to ensure product compliance
Serves as subject matter expert in development of contract language and/or underwriting guidelines
May be required to complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, multitasking and attention to detail skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and collaboratively within a small unit as well as across all areas of the organization.
Demonstrated experience developing forms for insurance industry products.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of form development and related systems.
