The Role
The Grade 3 Podiatrist is a senior leadership position within the acute hospital team, responsible for overseeing and leading the podiatry service across Cabrini Health’s Malvern and Brighton campuses. Applications from suitably experienced candidates at Grade 2 level will also be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and management of the Podiatry Service across Cabrini sites
Triage and prioritisation of podiatry referrals
Provision of high-quality podiatry care to hospital inpatients
This role is offered at up to 15 hours per week, ideally across Monday, Wednesday and Friday, however flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. Additional hours may be available through fee-for-service activities, including general toenail care.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Podiatrist with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will be confident working autonomously in managing the podiatry service while also contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
You will have:
A recognised podiatry qualification with current AHPRA registration
The ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in patient care
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
A strong focus on patient and client outcomes
Experience working in an acute hospital setting (preferred), including wound and pressure injury management, neurovascular assessments, offloading techniques, footwear prescription, and general toenail care
