Yahoo Weather is evolving from a utility app into a daily lifestyle habit. We are building a full-service weather operation and hiring a Senior Platform Editor and creative lead to define the brand's tone, look, and feel across all surfaces.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary lead editor for the brand, ensuring a consistent and premium "Yahoo Weather" voice.
Provide editorial assistance for creator blogs, edit/rewrite social captions, and polish scripts.
Point of contact for our content’s distribution throughout the Yahoo ecosystem.
Develop and execute a comprehensive social strategy to introduce @YahooWeather to new audiences
Manage the editorial calendar, balancing weather news with lifestyle features.
Report directly to the Editorial Director.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in digital media, journalism, or editorial content.
A proven portfolio of writing
Extensive experience as an editor, blogger, essayist, or copywriter.
Prior experience managing professional business social media handles.
Preferred Responsibilities/Qualifications
Experience with video production a plus
Strong interest or expertise in weather-related content.

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,750.00 - $188,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
