Position Details

We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Planning Manager to lead labour planning and resource optimisation across our large-scale operations in Laverton.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will own the strategy for workforce planning, drive operational efficiency and ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time to meet customer and business demands. You will develop high-performing teams, partner with senior leaders, and play a key role in shaping the future capability of our network.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the end-to-end workforce and labour planning strategy

  • Optimise staffing levels in line with operational and customer needs

  • Monitor cost, performance, and productivity, adjusting plans as required

  • Collaborate with Operations, HR, Transport, Logistics and agency partners on hiring forecasts

  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and systems

  • Provide insightful reporting and data-driven decision support to senior leaders

  • Act as a key change leader during organisational transformation

  • Develop, coach and inspire a high-performing planning team

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive experience in labour/workforce planning or similar, including leadership experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Operations Management or related discipline

  • Strong analytical capability and data-driven decision making

  • Proven success in leading teams and building capability

  • Experience managing change in dynamic operational environments

  • Ability to engage, influence and partner with senior stakeholders

  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational efficiency
