Senior Physiotherapist
Winfield Hospital, Gloucester
Full-time, 37.5 hours
We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering excellent standards of care to join the Physiotherapy team at the Winfield Hospital.
Winfield Hospital is one of Gloucestershire's leading private hospitals, located on the outskirts of the City of Gloucester. It is situated off the Northern Ring Road with excellent road and rail links. The Physiotherapy Department will be undergoing a full refurbishment programme this year starting in May.
The role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with proven skills in the management of musculoskeletal disorders and inpatient orthopaedics who will provide high quality clinical care that is evidence based and responsive to our patients' needs in a safe and caring environment. We receive referrals from GPs and Consultants as well as self-referrals. These provide a stimulating case mix with a bias towards acute musculoskeletal injuries and postoperative orthopaedic rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and work at least one evening OPD clinic per week and one weekend duty per month.
What you'll bring with you:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Current HCPC Registration and knowledge of CSP Standards of Physiotherapy Practice
• Some inpatient experience of elective Orthopaedics surgery
• Ability to manage a mixed clinical caseload of MSK outpatients including direct referrals
• To be willing to join our hydrotherapy team (training available as necessary)
• Potential to work with and mentor students from the University of Gloucester
• Acupuncture and Pilates experience is desirable but not essential
• To commit to one weekend duty per month and one regular evening OPD clinic
• Willing to make active and regular contributions to our in-service programme
• Committed to growing the business and identifying new areas of service development
• Contribute to departmental strategy
• Excellent Customer care and compliance with clinical and integrated
governance standards
