We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our talented and collaborative engineering team. We're currently scaling up our product base, leveraging the advances in data technology, AI and ML in order to transform our ecosystem into a fluid, event-based and decoupled offering. We're bringing best-of-breed technology options into our mix to ensure we're well-positioned to give our proprietary data the platform it needs to shine.

We are assembling a global technology team to lead these advancements. This is an opportunity to apply your strong development skills and incorporate the latest technologies and approaches, keeping us at the forefront of data-driven product development.

As a Senior PHP Developer, your responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining backend services. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team consisting of PHP, React, and NodeJS developers, along with a dedicated Product Owner and Tester, to deliver quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP (Symfony framework).
  • Work with Doctrine ORM for efficient database modelling, migrations, and query optimization.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Partner with product managers and designers to convert business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, consistency, and adherence to standards.
  • Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability of backend systems.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in PHP and Symfony development.

Requirements

  • Proven strong experience with PHP and Symfony.
  • Solid understanding of Doctrine ORM
  • Exposure to ElasticSearch or similar search technologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Comfortable with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
