Senior Personnel Security Specialist

KBR is seeking a highly motivated security professional to support personnel security (PERSEC) functions for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) in direct support of various United States Space Force Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC) initiatives. 

The successful candidate will have experience executing SCI and SAP personnel security processes, including access requests, nomination packages, and access lifecycle management US Government agencies. The candidate must be highly motivated, and able to perform tasks with minimal direction and supervision and be prepared to regularly brief customer leadership personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and track SCI and SAP access requests and nomination packages in accordance with applicable security regulations. 
  • Execute personnel security processes in compliance with DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5200.01, ICD 704, and all other agency or organizational requirements.
  • Conduct collateral SCI and SAP indoctrinations, briefings, training, and debriefing, ensuring proper documentation and accesses are current and updated in the appropriate system of record.
  • Coordinate with the GSSO, SSO, PSO, and other company and program stakeholders to validate clearance eligibility, access requirements, and need-to-know management and government customers to obtain pertinent information when processing clearance requests for employees.
  • Maintain personnel security records, access rosters, and metrics ensuring accuracy, audit readiness, and other status reporting.
  • Assist USSF and other government agencies in development of security documents, presentations, and other formal and non-formal communications.
  • Support personnel security inspections and self-inspections including artifact preparation and corrective action tracking.
  • Provide oversight and process execution in response to security infractions and incidents.
  • Interface with leadership to brief status of personnel and operations.
  • Support the government leadership, GSSO, and security team with primary focus on personnel security, with support to other security disciplines as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • An active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/CI Polygraph, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, be detail oriented and possess the ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations. Executing responsibilities in team environment is essential.
  • Working knowledge of DoD SAP Guidance, including DoDM 5205.07, ,ICD 704, and any other relevant personnel security guidance and processes.
  • Experience supporting a GSSO, SSO, CPSO, or PSO in SCI and/or SAP environments.
  • Experience processing access requests in DISS, SCINET, JADE, or equivalent personnel security systems.
  • Familiarity with DD Form 254s and related personnel security requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience handling sensitive and classified information.

Desired

  • Basic familiarity with non-core security disciplines such as COMSEC, Cybersecurity, Physical Security, TEMPEST, Information Security, etc.
  • Familiarity with intra and inter-agency personnel security access transfers, visit certifications, and access terminations across SCI and SAP programs.
  • Familiarity with SCI and SAP access billet management, including tracking, validation, and reconciliation of authorized positions against assigned personnel and access rosters.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40hrs

Basic Compensation:

$125,000 - $140,000

This range is for Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
