Senior People Technology Analyst

This role in the global People Technology team focuses on:

Evolving and optimizing the end-to-end Talent Management technology ecosystem with a key focus on Workday. The Senior Analyst partners closely with the Talent Management COE to translate talent strategy into scalable system solutions, ensuring that Workday remains a powerful enabler of employee experience, performance enablement, and internal mobility.

This role leads ongoing technical enhancements, and drives configuration updates, process improvements, and new feature deployments. This includes supporting all talent cycles including goal setting, performance reviews, talent reviews, merit processing and continuous feedback.

A critical element of this role includes partnering with Talent Management COE in gathering and validating business requirements from global and local stakeholders, resolving complex issues related to Talent and related technologies, and ensuring high‑quality, well‑documented configuration, testing, and change management execution. Additionally, the position is responsible for developing reports, dashboards, and actionable insights that empower leaders and COEs to make informed talent decisions.

This role is based in our temporary location of 20 York Mills Rd, then the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Manager, Workday. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.

What You’ll Be Doing:

System Administration & Optimization

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for talent management technology, including, Workday, Glint and other tools as identified.
  • Own management and configuration of Workday Talent modules with a product‑engineering lens — including designing scalable workflows, optimizing business processes, configuring security, and implementing new features delivered in Workday releases.
  • Partner with COE and vendors to troubleshoot system issues, implement enhancements, and manage software upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows.
  • Support COE in their development of user guides, and training materials.
  • Provide support to other Workday modules as needed, including but not limited to core HCM.
  • Provide support for additional technology implementations, including Workday extend.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Technology Innovation and Data (TID) and the Talent Management COE to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical support and training to Talent COE so they can support maximum system utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align talent management technologies with broader P&C and TID strategies.
  • Facilitate system testing and change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new features and processes.
  • Partner with third party Application Management Service providers to deliver enhancements and additional projects where required.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights on key talent management metrics and system performance.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency within Workday by conducting regular audits and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
  • Manage mass data loads and updates using tools like EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) and ensure proper validation.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements as advised by COEs or Legal teams.
  • Regularly review and audit security configurations to maintain data privacy and compliance.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance talent management practices and internal mobility.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at streamlining talent management practices and internal mobility processes through automation and system improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the overall digital transformation of the talent management function.
  • Contribute to the digital transformation of talent management by recommending innovative, scalable technical solutions.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years experience with Workday.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/IT.
  • Workday Pro – HCM Certification is an asset.
  • Workday Pro Talent and Performance Certification is an asset.
  • Workday Extend experience is an asset.
  • Experience in a global enterprise with multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced Workday configuration skills (Talent, Performance, Succession, Goal Management, Merit).
  • Undertake configuration and optimizing talent management technologies to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • High proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Understanding of API integrations and data exchange methodologies between HR tech systems.

  • Awareness of HR technology trends, compliance requirements, and best practices in talent management.
  • Ability to work with cloud-based platforms, SaaS solutions, and enterprise People technology ecosystems.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week at our temporary 20 York Mills Road, Toronto, Ontario location with travel, as needed, to our the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
