To complement our growth in EMEA and LATAM, we are actively looking for a talented and experienced Sr. Manager, People, to oversee People programs in the EMEA and LATAM region, with primary focus on Portugal, UK and Germany.
In this role, you will drive strategic talent initiatives to help our business reach its potential. You are a thought leader who also has a “roll up your sleeves” approach to solving problems and driving results. You understand the business model and are not shy about sharing perspectives to help leaders build and grow high performing teams.
As a regional Sr. Manager, People, you’ll be a crucial member of the People team. You will form effective relationships across the organization as you guide management decisions, serve as an employee champion, and strategically anticipate, analyze and respond to People-related matters. Responsibilities:
- Business Partnership:
- Translate business goals into People programs and actions
- Be a trusted advisor to EMEA and LATAM leaders and functional People Partners. Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management
- Use data insights to identify trends and develop recommendations for the regions
- Regional Leadership and Compliance
- Oversee the employee lifecycle across Portugal, UK, Germany, Spain, and Colombia, partnering with the Legal team to ensure compliance with local labor regulations
- Provide day to day counsel on employee retention, engagement, and performance concerns. Conduct investigations and provide resolutions that mitigate risk and uphold our company values
- Adapt corporate People programs and philosophies to the regional context
- Conduct business analysis and make recommendations to improve People programs, processes, and policies. Use expertise to guide operational decisions across the organization
- People Management and Development:
- Manage People Partner(s) in the EMEA region, fostering their professional growth
- Foster a high accountability and service forward culture within the People Partner team
- Enable a high performance culture
- Culture and Engagement
- Champion culture enhancing initiatives and drive internal People communications
- Oversee immigration function for the EMEA region
Requirements:
- 8+ years’ experience in a related People role and global People Partner model in supporting business groups in EMEA and/or LATAM
- Expertise across multiple EMEA countries. Deep familiarity with Portugal and European labor codes and compliance
- Prior experience managing and mentoring HR Professionals
- Proven ability to present HR information to leadership in clear, compelling terms
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and responsibilities in parallel
- Strong collaborator - Ability to collaborate and operate in a "one team" environment across all levels of the organization
- Strategic acumen - Partner with business leaders to implement solutions that creatively solve complex business challenges to address these issues
- Partnering and influence - Present solutions in ways that are heard, understood and supported
- Ability to provide insight that positively influences senior management decision-making
- Communicate with clarity, conviction and confidence across regions/cultures, including upward when necessary
- Personal credibility - Consistently offer quality advice, counsel and insight
- Ability to build and maximize relationships, build trust, communicate effectively is required to analyze HR issues and provide information, direction and advice as described
- Good technical knowledge of human resources and its role within the business
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and management
- Demonstrated analytical skills, problem solving and decision-making skills are required to provide support as described.
- Excellent planning, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- The ability to handle competing priorities calmly under pressure and within restricted timeframes is essential
- Ability to travel to regional sites on at least a quarterly basis
