As Senior Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s payroll for the Company’s US and Canada entities. This role partners closely with Finance, Legal, HR and external vendors to administer and report on payroll-related matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· End-to-end payroll processing for multi-state and Canada
· Process and audit payroll on a regular cycle to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable wage laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
· Review and reconcile payroll reports, time sheets, deductions, and adjustments.
· Maintain and update payroll records, including employee compensation, tax information, and benefits deductions.
· Review and manage timely submission of payroll tax returns.
· Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.
· Prepare payroll-related reports for management, finance, and auditing purposes.
· Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries.
· Work closely with the Stock Administrator for appropriate and timely reporting of the equity transactions (ESPP deductions, RSU vesting, disqualifying dispositions).
· Support year-end activities such as W-2 processing, reconciliations, and audits.
· Provide any payroll related items as requested for different types of audits and reviews.
· Administer payroll system (ADP) and troubleshoot issues.
· Work closely with payroll vendors and benefits vendors for timely resolution of any issues.
· Assist with system upgrades, testing, and implementation of payroll software.
· Recommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
· Maintain SOX compliance and support internal/external audits.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5+ years payroll experience, preferably with publicly traded company and multi-state environment
· Experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now for US and Canada
· Strong knowledge of payroll laws, IRS rules, tax compliance, multi-state payroll and Canada payroll
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or Business Administration from an accredited institution
· Advanced excel and payroll system expertise
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Must have attention to detail and sound analytical skills, ability to interpret/communicate information.
· Team-oriented & flexible, must be able to work closely with all levels of management.
· Must work well under pressure and be good at meeting deadlines.
· A pro-active nature to help embed process improvement and the ability to work closely with other functions are key attributes required for this role.
Salary based on experience and qualifications: 110,000 to 115,000 plus bonus.
