Department Overview

This team is responsible for the ongoing coordination of payroll processing activities, including the collection and validation of payroll inputs, and the validation and controls of monthly payroll run outputs, with the overarching objective of processing salaries in a timely and accurate manner across the region. The team liaises continuously with multiple internal stakeholders (employees, HR and Finance colleagues) and the outsourced payroll services provider, providing expert advice on payroll-related topics.


Job Description

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for the complete, end-to-end management and execution of the payroll cycle for the Brazilian entity, ensuring flawless accuracy, strict legal compliance, and maximum process efficiency.

This professional will serve as the primary payroll and Personnel Administration (DP) subject matter expert (SME), closely collaborating with the Finance, Human Resources, and Occupational Health and Safety teams to ensure the accurate interpretation and application of all national labor laws and their financial implications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Operations: Manage and execute the full payroll lifecycle, including data entry, processing, advances, monthly closing, and managing all related bank transactions.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Reporting (DP Focus): Ensure absolute compliance with all local taxes, statutory obligations, and labor legislation (CLT). This includes managing specific government requirements such as eSocial, eConsignado, and other mandated regulatory reporting.

  • Financial Reconciliation: Lead the complex payroll general ledger account reconciliation process and coordinate the period closing activities with the Accounting and Finance teams.

  • Absence & Leave Management: Oversee and accurately process all employee events related to Personnel Administration (DP), including absences, sick leaves, medical leaves, and temporary contract suspensions and legally mandated leaves, ensuring adherence to company policy and legal requirements.

  • Policy & Audit Support: Review, develop, and update internal payroll and DP policies and procedures. Act as the key contact and support resource for both internal and external audits.

  • System Administration: Configure and maintain the payroll system (e.g., ADP) to reflect new rules, regulations, and benefit changes. Manage all payments to payroll-related third-party vendors.

  • Strategic Reporting: Develop and deliver insightful managerial reports and in-depth analyses of payroll processes to support business decision-making and forecasting.


Basic Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, or Human Resources Management, with a strong focus or specialization in Personnel Administration (Departamento Pessoal - DP).

  • Experience: Proven, extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing and administration in a complex environment.

  • Legal Expertise: Deep knowledge and understanding of local Brazilian Labor Legislation (CLT) and associated union/collective bargaining obligations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP is highly preferred), Advanced Excel skills, and experience with Google Workspace/Tools.

  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to perform complex account reconciliation, proactively identify issues, and resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately.

  • Analytical Ability: Strong capacity to gather data, perform complex analysis, and develop clear, actionable managerial reports.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and auditors.

  • Language: Advanced English proficiency is required. Spanish proficiency is desirable.
