Senior Payroll Analyst (Cork, Office)

The Red Hat Payroll team for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst to join us in Ireland. In this role, you'll join a team that supports 29 Red Hat locations across EMEA. You will work in a fast-paced and complex environment that is deadline-driven. You'll report to the EMEA payroll manager and be responsible for ensuring the payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner.

The Payroll Analyst 4 independently manages complex regional payroll operations and leads efforts to optimize processes. This role trains and mentors level 2 and 3 payroll team members, coordinates team activities, and applies creative solutions to resolve complex payroll issues that impact the overall function.

Note: This role may come into contact with confidential or sensitive customer information requiring special treatment in accordance with Red Hat policies and applicable privacy laws.

What will you do:

  • Provide oversight and coordinate on-cycle and off-cycle payroll processing-related activities, including validation of payroll and reports prior to approval/sign-off 

  • Ensure all payroll post-payroll activities are processed as required (i.e. vendor activities, banking, and GL files)

  • Communicate with the team to advise on daily operational issues, performance feedback, and other updates as needed

  • Responsible for the validation of payroll input and other source files to ensure accuracy

  • Monitor receipt of payroll submittal files and ensure accurate processing of special payment requests (i.e. bonuses, commissions, stock, compliance-related tasks)

  • Process agency notices, resolve vendor exceptions, and ensure actions are performed timely and accurately

  • Maintain standard process documents, recommend process improvements, and participate in implementation

  • Provide reports and requested data to management and other work-streams when needed, including internal and external audit requests

  • Resolve customer queries/issues timely and in accordance with internal SLAs, while also providing an excellent customer service experience. This includes Handling ADP tickets, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements, performing quarter-end and/or year-end processing activities, including year-end audits and accounting /tax requests as applicable, and ensuring all processes by established business controls and SOX requirements, assisting with special initiatives and projects as needed, including system/process changes, testing, and process payrolls as required.

  • Processing the Spain Red Hat payroll.

What will you bring:

  • 5+ years experience processing high volume payrolls within a multinational environment; experience with organizations with 1000+ employees

  • 5+ years experience working with ADP, and in particular their Globalview payroll system

  • Experience processing EMEA country payrolls

  • Awareness of statutory legislation and procedures relating to the EMEA payroll

  • Ability to work on your own in a fast-paced environment to deliver results with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working under strict deadlines and ensuring compliance with company policies

  • Solid Microsoft Excel and computer literacy skills
