The Senior Associate Paralegal is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for delivering basic operational or administrative services of a legal and compliance nature in a functional area or legal discipline. This role works under the supervision of the Country Legal Manager.

This role possesses basic working knowledge of related laws and compliance matters and works on legal assignments that are more routine in nature and within clearly defined parameters and assists with the development and/or improvement of Legal practices, risk and compliance operations within the company.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides basic legal support to business and/or operations on vanilla engagements and transactions, under the supervision of a more senior member of his/her legal team.
• Provides support on corporate secretarial matters for Singapore businesses
• Reviews and provides general advice on simple standard agreements such as confidentiality agreements and intercompany agreements or simple legal issues.
• Proposes minor customizations to legal terms and conditions in standard agreements or simple tenders.
• Supports a Legal Adviser or Legal Manager on legal engagements and transactions.
• Administers programs and procedures to administer legal, risk and compliance policies
• Performs such legal or semi-legal work as may be assigned and supervised by senior member(s) of his/her legal team.

Knowledge and Attributes:

• Possesses or in process of acquiring legal support qualifications or has good, related practice or operations knowledge and experience.
• Experienced in performing a paralegal's duties or other like roles.
• Experienced in helping to administer one or more operational policies or programs.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in high-pressure situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Superb attention to detail; good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proactive approach to work and willingness to learn.
• Good teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma or other relevant certifications or qualifications in legal studies or related fields.

Required experience:

• Moderate level of experience working in similar role gained within a similar environment.
