ING is looking for a motivated and ambitious senior Oracle DBA. Must have experience in solving complex problems at big and complex IT environments.
Job description:
As a senior Oracle DBA, you will be responsible to support the application support DevOps teams regarding Oracle DB’s. You are expected to solve cross-domain issues, you will be responsible for performance tuning, investigating and implementing new functionality and/or features.
You will coach and train the DevOps teams on how to optimize the usage of Oracle database technology with specific attention to security and stability.
Important part of your job is automating repetitive work to increase stability and efficiency.
Part of your job is also to act as 2/3rd line support, implement changes, solve problems. You are well aware of new developments in the database world and can advise and implement new features and technology. Furthermore, you are responsible for life cycle, configuration and license management.

Core Requirements
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant work experience in a complex IT environment.
Comfortable working in agile or DevOps-oriented environments.
Expert knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture, including Performance Tuning and Data Management.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata and Multitenant Architecture.
Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex database and infrastructure issues.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Experience with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration.
Proficiency in PL/SQL, Ansible, UNIX Shell scripting, Python, and general automation practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
Experience with Dataguard, backup/restore, RMAN, and monitoring tools.
Availability for standby/on-call rotation within the team.
Experience with creating and maintaining Azure pipelines for database deployments.
Knowledge of database security best practices, encryption, and auditing.
Experience with high availability (HA), and disaster recovery strategies.
