Process Overview*

Global Finance was set up in 2007 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business and Enterprise Finance functions. The capabilities hosted include Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Reconciliations, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing, Finance Systems Support and Supply Chain Management.

Over the years, the scope of Global Finance has been expanded to include operations for other enterprise control functions like Human Resources and Risk and Compliance.

Job Description*

Tax Team is responsible for preparation and filing of Federal, State and International Tax returns. Team is also responsible for preparation of Book to Tax Adjustments and various other workpapers required for preparation and filing of returns. In addition to this, team works with the finance team to gather the information required in the process. They are also dealing with the tax authorities for their queries. In addition, they are also involved with the AFIT & Forecasting group where they work closely with the legal entity forecasts counterparts and reviewing the forecasted legal entity effective tax rate for the respective legal entity sub consolidation rollup point(s) assigned. They are also responsible for compiling the Accounting for Income Tax reporting package, consolidated review of State Analytic and NUSInS. And based on books close they provide the tax information for legal entity financial reporting requirements to finance as well as regulatory reporting teams.

Responsibilities*

  • Assist in preparation and review of federal (Form 1120) including US aspect on international income, State and local tax returns, ensuring all filings are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Prepare and review complex tax adjustments (M-1/3’s or Book to Tax adjustments) as part of Annual tax return compliance and tax provision process.
  • Prepare and review State return sub process like Appt Calculations, State Modification, Attributes, etc.
  • Understanding of the International Tax returns including forms 5471, 8858, 8865, etc, as well tax items like Sub Part F, GILTI, BEAT Calculation, FTC.
  • Understanding of Quarterly and Annual tax forecast and forecast ETR impacts of business transactions.
  • Provide to support the tax provision process, including the preparation of tax-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements disclosures.
  • Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax regulations, new legislations, and the potentials impact on firm’s tax position.
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, preparing necessary documentation and working with external vendors/tax authorities as needed.
  • Partner with various internal teams (e.g., Finance, legal, operations) to ensure tax-related issues are addressed effectively.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax compliance and reporting function.
  • Tax planning/forecasting and interpretation experience will be a big plus
  • Advanced Excel preferred

 Foundational skills*

• US tax experience – direct tax; Corporation, Partnership, E&P calculations

• US State Income Tax return experience

• US GAAP Accounting for Income Taxes experience

Desired skills*

• Strong English Communication skills – both written and verbal

• Highly motivated, able to work independently, self-starter; and problem/solving/analytical

• Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Good knowledge of Excel, SharePoint is essential, Knowledge of Macros will be preferred.
