What is the opportunity?

The Senior Operations Analyst plays a significant role in the production and verification of financial data to produce financial statements within prescribed deadlines. The incumbent identifies and resolves reporting problems and works with the business units to ensure corrective action/s and proper procedures are in place.  These positions work closely with coordinating groups and internal groups for processing and/or reconciling of relevant transactions within their respective business units.  The incumbent places a high priority on accuracy and timeliness. 

           

What will you do?

  • Identify and resolve problems and work with internal/external contacts to ensure corrective actions and proper procedures are put in place.
  • Establish an environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes, and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality within the department.
  • Process/Reconcile relevant entries to respective systems and platform where and when applicable.
  • Assist with 3rd party fund transfers/LOI/Donations.
  • Communicate with respect target dependents (ie investment manager / Fund Sponsor / Custodians, Administrators from other departments with RBC IS etc) on Pooled/mutual fund transactional/reconciliation issues.
  • Focus on satisfaction of clients by ensuring deliverables meet client needs and expectations.
  • Minimize operational and reputation risks to RBC I&TS by escalating all issues to supervisor/manager.
  • In consultation with the Manager, promote ongoing training and development of staff.
  • Support department initiatives and positively influence peers to promote a strong productive team. 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University Degree on Business, Finance or Commerce.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the financial industry managing financial and regulatory reporting for clients.
  • Strong understanding of Institutional Client statutory and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with automation and efficiency programs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills and ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$50,000.00 - $85,000.00
