Senior Officer, Marketing

About This Opportunity 

As Senior Officer, Marketing, you will support the delivery of high‑quality, purpose‑driven marketing outcomes for the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law. Working closely with stakeholders in a collaborative professional services environment, you will contribute to integrated campaigns and continuous improvement initiatives to support the Faculty’s strategic priorities including student recruitment, reputation and engagement.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead marketing projects in consultation with the Marketing Manager, oversee briefs, stakeholder coordination, and brand‑aligned delivery within budget and timelines.

  • Plan and implement marketing initiatives for the Faculty’s Executive Education portfolio to support its recruitment and reputational objectives, including developing nurture content.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on major projects, University-wide events and student recruitment campaigns for Faculty programs, including SEM and digital marketing activities.

  • Research, develop and publish engaging marketing content across digital channels (including digital assets, web, eDMS, social media and testimonials) to ensure consistency, quality and brand alignment.

  • Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into effective marketing solutions.

  • Monitor and report on marketing performance and use data and analytics to improve performance of future activity.

  • Represent the Faculty at UQ’s annual Open Day event. Work outside normal hours on occasion for marketing and engagement activities such as events, photo shoots and content / story opportunities. 

About You  

You will bring a proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to balance strategy and delivery in a fast‑paced environment. You will demonstrate:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, with at least four years’ relevant experience, or equivalent experience and training.

  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging and audience‑focused content, with a focus on digital channels.

  • Experience leading and delivering marketing projects, strategies and campaigns for a range of different stakeholders and audiences.

  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, problem-solve and contribute to evidence‑based decision‑making.

  • Experience working with digital marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Google Ads (SEM), Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite.

  • High levels of organisation, attention to detail and time management.

  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams within a values driven organisation.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
