As a defensive security advisor, you help identify, analyze, eradicate and mitigate threats to Desjardins's systems, networks and applications. You analyze security incidents and determine their scope, impact and origin. You collect data from a variety of defence tools. You perform ongoing monitoring and interpret, analyze and report all events and anomalies in accordance with guidelines. You carry out risk assessments and tests to analyze vulnerabilities and you develop and recommend appropriate mitigation measures to strengthen Desjardins's security posture. You advise and assist clients and partners on major security-related initiatives and development projects related to resolving major security incidents, detecting vulnerabilities and protecting systems and networks. You propose solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization's objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems. You use your analytical skills and detailed knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical. You interact with stakeholders working in other technology fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to :
Diagnose issues, challenges and needs related to IT security, vulnerability, compliance and incident management to determine target outcomes.
Examine, handle, resolve and log security events that pose an internal threat.
Develop and help implement objectives, solutions, action plans and intervention plans.
Analyze data. Conduct studies. Make recommendations. Write reports.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
