Key Responsibilities:

KBR seeks an Sr Network Engineer/Architect to provide technical guidance and direction for transport network design and engineering, network routing protocols, advanced virtual networking technologies for missions to support operations.

Additionally the Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for the following tasks: 

  • Establish overall strategic network standards and priorities

  • Plan large-scale projects through vendor comparison and cost studies

  • Analyze the optimization of network system performance

  • Oversee the strategic interface of network systems configuration

  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing systems

  • Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud integration with multiple public cloud service providers

  • Identify COMSEC security requirements for the networks and platforms

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site, Lorton

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-25%, Travel to JBAB

  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 15+ years of experience working as a Network Engineer/Architect

  • Familiarity with DoD, IC, and inter-departmental/inter-agency collaboration

  • Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, BGP, etc.) and security standards.

  • Familiarity with DoD compliance frameworks.

  • Experience with enterprise-level network monitoring and management tools.

  • Experience in designing and defining system architecture for new or existing systems.

  • Master’s Degree in a related field REQUIRED

  • Candidate must have a US Top Secret SCI security clearance with SAP experience
     

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40hrs

Basic Compensation:

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
