Senior Network Engineer I

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities 
In this role, you will: 

• Lead the design and deployment of scalable on-premise and cloud-connected network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams, driving secure and efficient network operations.
• Manage and monitor switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement site-to-site and cloud VPNs to support hybrid network connectivity.
• Optimize network routing, segmentation, and redundancy for high availability.
• Automate network configuration and monitoring using tools such as Ansible, NetBox, or Python scripts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, and change management records for network environments.
• Engage with stakeholders to align network strategy with application and infrastructure needs. 

Qualifications & Attributes 
We’re seeking someone who embodies the following: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field. 
Experience: 4+ years in network engineering roles, with exposure to both on-premise and cloud networking. 

Technical Skills: 
Must-haves: 

• Strong hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, and firewall rule management.
• Experience with VPNs, SD-WAN, and remote access solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., VPCs, subnets, network security groups).
• Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, Bash, or Ansible).
• Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetFlow). 

Nice-to-haves: 

• Certifications such as CCNP, AWS Networking Speciality, or equivalent.
