Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer will be a part of the Global Network Engineering team which strives to build an efficient network to support the firm’s Network deployments and Business functions. The primary focus of the role will be to design, build, deliver and support site and Data Center network domains while working with their integration with cloud services, and wireless, video, and mobility solutions. This position is responsible for working with Telecom’s infrastructure Architects to develop and maintain current and future state engineering solutions and the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems. The goal is to deliver engineering optimizations that improve efficiencies in support of business objectives. The daily dynamics will range from high-level Executive meetings to detailed project reviews. As the Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to a group of engineers developing solutions for HP’s site and datacenter networks and also support Network Operations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Create plans to integrate business systems and workflows in support of business strategy. Provide engineering consultation to programs, projects, and initiatives.
- Working in a large-scale networking environment under minimal supervision performing tasks per predefined documented procedures.
- Inspect LAN /WAN/ Load balancers/Wi-Fi/Firewall infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs
- Establishes networking environment by crafting network configuration, advising and executing global network infrastructure, defining, detailing, and enforcing standards.
- Ensures assigned network engineering projects are delivered on time, on budget against agreed scope.
- Responsible for end-to-end quality delivery of assigned network project ensuring adherence to Network engineering standards and the subsequent handover to the operation team.
- You will have the responsibility for providing subject matter expertise to various projects as needed. To do so, you should be able to integrate well within the Operations, Engineering, and Architecture teams helping set direction and manage day-to-day execution.
- Produce a method of procedures that demonstrate understanding of changes proposed and how the change will be executed with minimal service impact.
- Provide LAN /WAN/Load Balancers/ Wi-Fi/Firewall engineering support for all HP sites and DC.
- Assisting with EOL/ EOS network devices in the network and proposing appropriate replacement devices with the current standards.
- Interfacing with customers to assist in resolving customer issues, communicate resolution status, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Identify process gaps or areas for improvement in delivery efficiencies and recommend/implement solutions.
- Engaging in opportunities to expand on an existing skill set in an attempt to increase knowledge and reduce learning curves.
Technical Abilities Expected:
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting VRRP, IRF (Intelligent Resilient Framework), and VRF deployments.
- LAN Switching: VTP v2/v3, Port-channels, Spanning-tree, Ability to decode tcp dump/Wireshark logs, review and identify issues.
- In-depth knowledge and experience on Cisco/HPE/Juniper/Arista devices and to include core IP routing (OSPF, BGP, etc.), switching, and QoS experience. Proven experience in working on a large-scale project.
- Experience in working with complex enterprise environments, including the following topologies and protocols as STP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GRE, IPsec
- Network Security: Should have a good knowledge of IPSec, NAT, Port Security etc.
- Miscellaneous Network Services: HSRP, VRRP, IP SLA and Object tracking, QoS, DHCP, DNS, Thorough understanding of Subnetting, Vlan, VTP.802.1q, STP.
- Skillsets required to demonstrate an expert understanding of Wi-Fi technologies, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Advanced design knowledge of IP-based networking architecture.
- Integration with cloud services (AWS and Azure)
- Software Defined Networking strategies, technologies, and implementations
- Network Functions Virtualization strategies, technologies, and implementations
- Background with project management in complex enterprise network environments.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in the organization, develop procedural documentation, develop, and conduct effective presentations, and effectively demonstrate products and solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors and partners.
- Should be flexible with working hours as per Business needs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent expereince
- CCNP or equivalent desired, CCIE or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of relevant industry experience working in LAN/WAN Enterprise switching, solution design and practical experience in end-to-end management and execution of network project infrastructure deployment involving in LAN, WAN, Load-balancer, Wi-Fi, firewall Technologies.

Pay & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
