RTX ES Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to help shape the future of our enterprise network infrastructure and drive the adoption of next-generation technologies. In this role, you’ll design, build, and integrate advanced IT solutions across multiple business units, supporting critical operations and long-term growth. You’ll work with technologies spanning Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN), Wireless, and Voice/VoIP systems.

What You Will Do:

 

  • Lead enterprise-wide network transformation initiatives, ensuring scalability, agility, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Design and implement network solutions aligned with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Partner with internal teams to recommend innovative, cost-effective approaches to evolving network needs.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering growth in technical proficiency and innovative problem-solving.
  • Configure, optimize, and upgrade network devices and systems for peak performance and reliability.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for advanced (Tier 4) network issues across multi-vendor environments and provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure architects on feasibility studies, design optimization, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Champion automation of manual tasks and improve efficiency by developing scripts and leveraging modern tools.
  • Transition solutions into operational support with clear documentation and playbooks.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, recommending improvements for performance and compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and generate detailed reports to support ongoing operations.
  • Participate in occasional domestic/international travel to support business needs.

 

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

 

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, ideally with Cisco networking solutions (DMVPN, SD-WAN).

 

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced knowledge of routing and protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, OMP).
  • Strong background in network security, including IPSec, MACSec, segmentation, and integration with next-gen firewalls.
  • Skilled in diagnosing complex issues, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring performance through monitoring tools (NetFlow, SNMP, telemetry).
  • Familiarity with hybrid WAN design (MPLS, broadband, LTE/5G) and traffic engineering/QoS.
  • Experience connecting enterprise networks to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and optimizing SaaS applications.
  • Ability to managed competing priorities and to lead transformation initiatives in dynamic environments, leveraging Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Background in wireless technologies and Cisco ISE (802.1x, RADIUS, TACACS).
  • System integration familiarity with other vendor technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Aruba) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools (Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Cisco vManage).
  • Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE or equivalent) preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
