We’re offering an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact, future-focussed leadership role at the heart of our second line Monitoring & Testing team. We’re looking for a highly experienced and forward-looking individual. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering multiple risk-based reviews across our Retail, Business and Corporate Banking operations – with a strong focus on conduct and regulatory risk within the non-financial risk
framework.
The difference you’ll make:
Managing the delivery of multiple compliance monitoring reviews across diverse regulated activities.
Managing and developing colleagues to build technical capability and foster a learning culture.
Supporting a forward-looking, data-led monitoring plan aligned to regulatory and internal risk priorities.
Providing subject matter input on key regulatory areas including Consumer Duty, SMCR, and Product Governance.
Supporting the integration of analytics and insight into our monitoring methodology.
Providing clear, actionable insights to senior leaders and risk owners.
What you’ll bring:
Deep experience in second line compliance monitoring or internal audit.
Strong knowledge of FCA conduct and regulatory expectations.
Proven ability to lead complex reviews and manage assurance teams.
Experience working within a non-financial risk framework.
It would also be nice for you to have:
Exposure to data-led assurance approaches or RegTech tools.
Experience across Retail, Business and Corporate Banking.
Professional qualifications (e.g. ICA, CISI, IIA)
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
What else you need to know:
This role is based in Glasgow.
Our preferred location for this role is Glasgow, but we’ll also consider locating the role in Milton Keynes.
We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
