Senior Mobile React Native Engineer

In the role of Senior Mobile React Native Engineer in the Jabra Hearing Engineering team, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will design, build, and evolve mobile applications that connect telehealth services with advanced hearing technology.

You will take end-to-end ownership of mobile features—from early concept through architecture and development to production—ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable user experiences.

The team you will be part of:

You will join a cross-functional mobile engineering team working closely with Product, Design, and backend teams across multiple time zones. The team builds and maintains mobile applications that integrate with Bluetooth-enabled hearing devices and digital health services.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

• Own mobile features end-to-end, from concept and architecture to implementation and release

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript

• Collaborate asynchronously with Product and Design through clear documentation and communication

• Integrate mobile applications with hardware using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and native APIs

• Contribute to application architecture to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability

• Write clean, stable, and well-tested code

• Review code and support team members through technical guidance and mentorship

• Resolve complex issues and ensure high reliability of mobile applications

• Act as a binding link between product, design, and engineering teams.

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

• Have a background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Have extensive experience building mobile applications using React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

• Are comfortable taking full ownership of features and seeing them through to completion

• Have experience working with mobile hardware integrations or native mobile development (iOS/Android)

• Understand complex state management patterns (e.g., XState, React Query, MobX or similar)

• Can debug across both JavaScript and native layers (Swift/Kotlin) when needed

• Communicate clearly in written English and collaborate effectively across distributed teams

• Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile release processes

• Value code quality, testing, and maintainable architecture

• Are curious learners, capable of taking initiative, and comfortable navigating a changing environment.

For this role, we work in a hybrid setup and collaborate closely with teams in the United States, which may require some flexibility in working hours to ensure effective overlap.
