Your Work Matters

As a Senior Merchandising Analyst, your work directly shapes how new and remodeled Floor & Decor stores come to life. You turn data into physical reality—guiding assortment decisions, space allocation, and visual execution that customers experience the moment they walk in. The insights you deliver influence store performance, inventory health, and how effectively we scale our growth nationwide.

Your Day Consists Of

  • Partnering with the Director of Merchandising Analytics to support merchandising strategy for new store openings and major remodels
  • Building and maintaining planograms that balance visual standards, customer experience, and operational efficiency
  • Analyzing assortments across stores using sales performance, square footage penetration, SKU-level detail, and inventory data
  • Translating analysis into clear recommendations that guide new store assortments and remodel decisions
  • Collaborating with Regional Merchandising, Buying, Inventory, and Store Operations teams to ensure alignment from strategy through execution
  • Creating reports, spreadsheets, and presentations that communicate insights, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional partners and leadership

You’ll Be Successful With

  • A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in merchandising analysis, space planning, visual merchandising, or a related analytical role (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel and SQL, leveraging advanced data manipulation and querying techniques to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficient in working with relational databases to extract, transform, and analyze data for actionable insights
  • Proficiency in planogram and space planning tools (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder/MerchLogix), with the ability to optimize product placement, analyze shelf performance, and ensure compliance with merchandising strategies.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
  • Clear, professional communication skills and comfort presenting insights to diverse stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to partner effectively across merchandising, buying, inventory, and operations teams
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment where store count and complexity continue to scale
