Job Description
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Experienced Mechanical engineer to join GE Healthcare HW engineering department in Rehovot developing and supporting gamma ray detectors.
Essential Responsibilities
- Leading hardware mechanical design activities to support ongoing manufacturing and drive NPI projects and cost saving projects.
- Collaborating with Electronic board design engineers to define mechanical design and perform design verification activities.
- Owner of verification & validation activities, technical specification & engineering documentation including drawings.
- Support existing production lines process and working with suppliers introducing new products’.
- Working with local and global cross functional teams.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years industry experience in design.
- Proven record in Mechanical design for new hardware products from early concepts to mass manufacturing.
- Proven record in developing fixtures and jigs for product assembly and testing at both development and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent hands-on experience with 3D CAD: Solid Works & Creo - Must
- Experience in product BOM build and engineering changes support.
- Experience in tolerance analysis and design for manufacturing.
- Experience with finite element analysis tools- an advantage.
- Previous experience with medical device regulation and QMS- an advantage.
