- Technical leadership: Lead the mechanical design, documentation, and technical delivery for major hospital, healthcare, and clinical facility projects.
- Safe, resilient environments: Design reliable HVAC, ventilation, and medical support systems that prioritise patient comfort, and staff safety.
- Innovation & performance: Apply sustainable design principles and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, flexibility, and whole-of-life performance of healthcare buildings.
- Collaboration: Partner with electrical, structural, building services, and specialist healthcare consultants to deliver integrated, compliant solutions.
- Client & stakeholder connection: Build trusted relationships with clients, health operators, and user groups, providing clear technical guidance and responsive service throughout planning, design, and delivery.

What you’ll bring:
- 8+ years’ experience in mechanical design for hospitals, healthcare facilities, or other complex clinical environments within the buildings sector.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation, air-quality control, and specialised systems (such as isolation rooms, operating theatres, and critical care areas).
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects in line with Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant healthcare design guidelines.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to mentoring and supporting others.
