We are seeking a Senior Materials Representative to join our Materials’ Operations team and enhance our material flow process. In this role, you will support inventory management in assigned buildings by receiving, verifying, and reconciling inventory for accuracy. Additionally, you will guide dock drivers in consolidating parts, maintain operational processes, and report on results.

  • Receive inbound freight by validating the ASN/IRN with physical receipt quantity.
  • Load necessary information into material management system, identify inaccuracies and escalate appropriately.
  • Responsible for identification and reconciliation of all receiving variances using problem-solving skills.                                                                                                      
  • Conduct yard checks to ensure record accuracy of trailers on-premises as reflected in Trackx.   
  • Audit pick locations to ensure parts are available and in place for the materials drivers to pick for assembly lines.
  • Responsible for ensuring we are shipping the accurate returnable containers back to suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Create Labels for put a way to the warehouse.
  • Participates and is a key contributor in annual physical inventory             
  • Participate in AWO's and embrace lean manufacturing concepts in efforts to continuously improve materials work streams. 
  • Interact with materials departments to improve the receiving process                 
  • Report metrics and maintain accurate records.    
  • Communicate with drivers to monitor the location of parts.
  • Communicate effectively to key stakeholders any issues that arise resulting in receiving discrepancies.

What You'll Bring to Our Team


  • Minimum Qualifications: 
  • In pursuit of or an Associate’s degree of in business, supply chain, engineering, or other relevant field of study.
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Supplier management experience and project implementation.
  • Strong systems capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer focus, high energy, and aggressive approach to issues.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Preferred:
  • Bachelors degree of in business, supply chain, engineering, or other relevant field of study.
  • 5+ years of materials management experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong systems capabilities, including MRP/ERP systems and intermediate MS Word/Excel.
  • Understanding and prior usage/application of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent presentation skills and solid verbal/written communication skills.
