Senior Material Planner

Location: Cairo, Egypt
Function: Supply Chain – Supply Planning

Overview

As a Senior Material Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring customer service excellence and efficient supply chain performance. You will execute short‑term Master Production Schedules, optimize resources and materials, and secure on‑time availability of finished goods. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with planning, procurement, manufacturing, and commercial teams, contributing directly to service levels and inventory objectives.

You’ll join a collaborative team working across functions to enable strong customer service and operational excellence within the region.

You will manage inventory, coordinate material availability, and support continuous improvements within planning processes. This role reports to the Associate Manager, Supply Planning.

Responsibilities

• Execute short‑term Master Production Schedules in line with the supply plan.
• Manage finished goods inventory to ensure stock availability according to POV reports.
• Implement and coordinate production strategies, including new production plans.
• Maintain Material Master Data in the ERP system.
• Liaise with key internal stakeholders including manufacturing, procurement, and planning teams.
• Prepare and distribute daily PVA reports.
• Confirm material availability for production in partnership with material planners.
• Compile weekly materials shortage reports and communicate risks.
• Update production plans to reflect actual manufacturing performance.
• Develop weekly production plans based on PMS supply plans and manufacturing constraints.
• Manage available capacity in SAP, including overtime or shift adjustments.

Experience You’ll Bring

• Minimum 4 years of purchasing and planning experience within an FMCG environment; multinational experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SAP R/3 (MM module) including master data management; SAP APO is an advantage.
• Experience in new product or project management and planning of imported components.
• Proven experience in purchasing and planning for production environments.

Job Requirements

• Full‑time position.
• Standard working hours; overtime may be required depending on production needs.
• This role is not eligible for relocation.
• Work environment: manufacturing site / office‑based depending on schedule.
