About the Role

As a Senior MarTech Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage complex data infrastructures that support the organization’s analytical and operational needs. This senior role requires advanced technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of data engineering principles. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Design: Create and maintain scalable, efficient data architectures integrating multiple data sources while ensuring compliance with IT frameworks and regulatory policies.

  • Pipeline Development: Build and optimize robust data pipelines for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

  • Data Quality Management: Define and enforce data quality standards; conduct audits and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and implement enhancements for reliability and scalability.

  • Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement encryption, access controls, and compliance measures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.

  • Experience: Typically 7+ years in data engineering or related roles, with proven ability to lead projects and mentor teams.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong programming skills (Python, Java, SQL).

    • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

    • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and advanced ETL/ELT processes.

  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
